Fresh air, silence and the glittering snow – this is the pure magic of the winter that you can experience when walking and hiking in the Dolomites. Just in front of our house you can find different paths leading through wintry meadows and forests where you can perfectly relax and fill your lungs with fresh air. And after a long walk outside you can enjoy the cosy, warm ambience inside the Tschutscherhof.

ski You can also experience the magic winter in the Dolomites in a sporty way: We offer you best connections to the world of Dolomiti Superski, the world’s biggest skiing resort surrounded by majestic summits and the blue sky. Within a few minutes you can reach Val Gardena, which is not just a skiing area but a famous meeting place of the world’s winter sports elite. The Dolomite Superski circuit offers 1200 kilometres of pistes and 450 ski lift facilities. In Val Gardena and the near Seiser Alm you can find 175 spectacular kilometres of tracks and 79 modern ski lifts. A special adventure is certainly the “Sella Ronda“, where you can surround the famous “Sella Massif” on your skies. In Val Gardena there is also the “Gherdeina Skiring“ that includes the most beautiful slopes. For our guests the shuttle bus running to the ski areas is free.

One of the healthiest ways to enjoy the beautiful winter landscape is cross-country skiing. There are about 200 km cross-country skiing trails in the near surroundings. Fun on snow with a panoramic view on the snowy mountains is also guaranteed when making an excursion on the toboggan slopes and runs in Val Gardena and the Seiser Alm and, depending on the amount of snow, even on the local ways in Lajen.

For friends of ice-skating there is also a small skating rink in Lajen available for free in the winter months. If you want to enjoy untouched nature and absolute quietness we recommend you a snowshoeing tour or ski mountaineering.

I recently stayed at this bed and breakfast German-style hotel and I was thoroughly impressed. The rooms were warm and cozy, with updated and clean bathrooms that featured both a bathtub and shower. I was also pleasantly surprised by the complimentary sauna that I used almost every day. Our host, Giovanni, went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable, giving us tips and advice on the local area. The hotel is located only 15 minutes away from the ski town of Ortisei and just an hour from Innsbruck, making it a convenient location for exploring the area. I stayed for a week but could easily see myself staying there for a whole month as it truly felt like home. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable and convenient stay in the area.

We are very much enjoy with the cosy house and the touch of beautiful surrounding are, the birds singing, the scenery and the breakfast. The town is small but you can find supermarket, bakery, restaurant is just nearby by walking distance. Giovanni is exceptional helpful and friendly as well.

We had an amazing stay in this lovely place! It is clean, constable and the owner is very friendly and helpful. We took the bus directly to Ortisei and is only 15 minutes. From there we did some amazing hikes to return to the comfortable hotel afterwards. Seriously recommend this for couples. (The view from the room that was had was stunning)

Wir waren vier Tage zu Gast in der ausgezeichneten Frühstückpension Tschutscherhof. Unser Zimmer war sehr sauber, täglicher Zimmerservice. Johannes der Chef des Hauses war sehr zuvorkommend und gab viele nützliche Tipps und Hinweise. Das Frühstücksbuffet war gut bestückt. Zentral gelegen. Metzger, Bäcker, Supermarkt, Apotheke, Gaststätten etc. im Umfeld des idyllischen Bergdorfes Lajen nahe zu den Dolomiten.

Spent our ski holiday with family and friends in Feb - March 2016 here. We were quite a large group with different accommodation needs and the Tschutscherhof met all our expectations. The rooms are very clean and warm, they give a very homely feeling. The bathrooms are quite big and clean as well. We never had problems with the warm water, even when after the ski day everyone was using the shower. There is a nice "breakfast room" where we were invited in the evening to use it as our lounge, which I found was very kind of the owner. Everything you need is in walking range - a butcher shop with fresh meat is just in front of it, a Spar just around the corner, a bakery down the street... The owner is a young man speaking perfect English, German and Italian ( of course ), who is very helpful and kind, sorting out any problem we came up with, making us feel genuinely welcome. I recommend this place for staying at a good price in the Val Gardena area.
